“Challenge and response are the reason for rise and fall of civilizations throughout the history”, this is the opinion of Arnold Toynbee, the British historian who chronicled his ground breaking study in 12 volumes called “A study of history” between 1934-61. The study is an eye opener about human behavior and his quest to reach to the top, but should he succeed to do so, the inherent glory, success and comfort would dilute the urge to improve, remain alert, productive and creative thus loosing his grip of the fundamental principles which helped him realize his potential. In that a new wave front of hungry challengers will emerge and claim the throne and thus the rise and fall of civilizations.
